The agreement made for the academic year 2017-2018 between the Italian Resuscitation Council and the University of Bologna, School of Medicine and Surgery, has made possible the organization of the Clinical Clerkship in Basic Life Support, Defibrillation (use of an AED) and Quality CPR (feedback based real-time interface).

Visit the UNIBO official course unit catalogue

Basic life support and use of an AED is the first level of care for a person in cardiac arrest. Learning to perform basic life support and to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) is an interactive process that requires both knowledge and skills.

This course includes training in how to use an AED when one is available. If there is no AED available, call for help (112) and start BLS until professional help arrives.

The quality CPR pre and post course assessment will help you understand the importance of a well performed CPR and will allow you to follow your apprentice and skill retention rate.
